Superdrug Autumn Press Day!

A few weeks ago, I was invited down to Whitfield Street to preview some of Superdrug's upcoming Autumn launches, as well as some existing autumn-worthy products. I feel that Superdrug have really upped their game over the past couple of years by bringing out better quality products, but at the similar (affordable) range of prices. I also found out that all of Superdrug's own brand products are cruelty-free! Here's a little edit of what will be available this Autumn/Christmas at Superdrug:
Superdrug's new haircare Extracts range to launch in October [to be priced at £1.99]

2True Pro Sequins Nail Polish in Christy!

As you may already know, I'm a big fan of all things glitter and sparkle, so I couldn't wait to use this 2True Pro Sequins Nail Polish because of how stunning and sparkly it looked.

Bags of Beauty Blog: Superdrug Summer Press Preview!

This is a bit of a long post! I was invited to the Superdrug Summer Press Preview, which took place today at the Haymarket Hotel near Trafalgar Square. I loved the Christmas Press Event held by Superdrug so I was really excited about this one.

The products coming out this Summer at Superdrug are so cool that I'm so excited for their official release! So let me give you a little insight into the upcoming products...

Firstly, an exclusive range of Elemis will be available Superdrug this Summer- the range is called Elemis Fresh and is specially designed for younger skin from ages 15. This range has a whole variety of products including face masks, lip-balms, face washes, and moisturisers. Here is their website:

Superdrug are also going to start selling a range of stick-on eyeliners by an exciting brand called Glam Republic! There was so much hype around this at the press show, which wasn't surprising because they look so cool- you can choose from a different range of styles including thick and thin styles with a choice of a matte, velvet, and glitter styles! The lovely lady representing the brand was really nice and enthusiastic about the brand, and she told me that she tends to re-use them by sticking the stick-on eyeliner onto the mirror so she can use it next time- pretty useful stuff isn't it?! These are due to be launched in April/May. I don't think they have a website yet, but you can follow them on Twitter- @GlamRepBeauty

Superdrug also have some lovely nail art sets and nail wraps on sale this Summer! I can't wait for these to come out in-store!

Another exciting range to be launched this Summer is the new fragranced bath and body range. These products are amazingly fruity in scent, and there are loads of scents for you to pick; including Pomegranate, Vanilla, Cocunut, Strawberry. I received a lovely Shower Gel in my goody bag in Pomegranate Passion- and when I saw the size of it, I thought 'Whoa!', and I was even more shocked when I found out it was only £3.99! I didn't get a chance to have a try of the body butters, but I managed to have a sniff and they smell gorgeous! This range is available in Superdrug stores from April. Thankfully, they're not limited edition...

Superdrug are also launching a fantastic new eyelashes range called FAUX. This is a collection of handmade (yes- handmade!) eyelashes which look great! I'm not sure of the price yet, but I can find out for you! The representative was constantly approached by people fascinated by the brand, so I never got a chance to ask any questions! :( Here is their website:

Finally, Superdrug also have a great suncare range this year, with products such as sun-tan lotion spray mists, and fake tanning lotions and sprays so you can stay safe in the sun this Summer!

What do you think of the upcoming range so far? It's really exciting isn't it?!

Studio London Mascara Wardrobe!

Get beautiful lashes this Christmas with Studio London's Mascara Wardrobe exclusively available at Superdrug!

Studio London is a limited edition range this Christmas with a wide range of products, including Smokey Eye Eyeshadow sets, bronzing sets, and nail lacquer sets. The products are in the form of look-books, with tips, tricks, and instructions on how to use the products as well as how to create particular styles step-by-step.

The Studio London Mascara Wardrobe includes a variety of mascaras- volumising, lengthening, and curling; a lash and eye gel, and an eyelash curler.

You can't go wrong in the style you're aiming for as the instructions in the look-books are really helpful and precise.

The mascaras have good brushes and they're not at all clumpy. Our fave mascara is the lengthening! And the eyelash curler is amazing!  It makes you realise that you've struck a true bargain as this product is priced at only £9.99 and all Christmas gifts at Superdrug are on offer for 3 for 2!

Plus, some people find eyelash curlers quite scary and daunting but the curler available in the Mascara Wardrobe is really easy to use as they're easy to grip and you don't need to curl them for too long.

Andrea Fulerton Nail Boutique: Oops! Varnish Clean Up!

The worst thing about about painting your nails is when you make a mistake, or by painting the skin surrounding the nail!  The dilemma here is whether you use a cotton bud dipped in nail polish remover to tidy it up, or simply leave it alone- with both options having the same result of messy-looking nail polish/art. So what do you do?

Let me introduce you to Oops! Varnish Clean Up! If you're a 'Oops!' kind of girl when doing your nails, this handy little product is a must-have in your manicure set! Everyone makes mistakes, but there's no need to do your nails again if you make a mistake!

Andrea Fulerton is a 'Nail Guru' whose products I'd definitely recommend for salon quality, affordability, and creativity and innovation. Read my previous post on '5 reasons to love Andrea Fulerton's nail products!'

Oops! Varnish Clean Up retails at £4.99, and can be purchased at Superdrug.

GOSH A/W 2011 Nail Lacquer Collection!

(From left to right above: Dusty Rose, Blue Balloon, Early Green, and Crispy Coral)
A light chocolate brown, a Cobalt blue, a Pistachio green, and a sexy Coral red, are the colours of GOSH's Autumn/Winter Collection nail lacquers for 2011- and they're FAB!

The collection is a mixture of bright colours, nudes, and pastel shades which is a great combination if you're a fan of sporting multi-coloured nails or always changing your mind about the colour of your nails.

The Dusty Rose shade (a light chocolate brown) is brilliant for proms, weddings, and evenings in, and the Blue Balloon (a Cobalt Blue) and the Early Green shades (a pistachio green) are perfect for days out, whilst the Crispy Coral shade (a sexy coral red) will work its magic on a date, nights out, or a catch-up session with the girls!

Not only are these shades amazing, but the nail lacquer itself is absolutely brilliant! The lacquer provides flawless coverage on your nails with an efficient brush that makes the lacquer quick and easy to apply! Another brill benefit that you get from GOSH's nail lacquers is that they just don't chip and last for ages!

The nail lacquers retail at £4.99 each, and can be purchased at Superdrug.

Magazine feature: Crackle Nail Polish!

Hey guys, I wanted to try something a little different and felt incredibly creative so here's a little magazine feature I created about one of the latest trends in the beauty industry- crackle polishes!

Bags of Beauty Blog: Superdrug Christmas Press Day!

The month of July is always filled with loads of Christmas press days, and the lovely Z-PR girls hosted a fantastic event for Superdrug in Grape Street last week!

Everyone was shown the Xmas gifts that are going to be in Superdrug Stores from October, and I was amazed by the products. Make sure you all check out the new fragrances exclusive to Superdrug- they're affordable, yet smell so expensive and yummy!

Superdrug also have an exclusive and exciting brand called Studio London making its debut in stores from October. The concept of Studio London's products in similar to Front Cover's- you are given instructions on how to create a particular look. My favourite was the 'Eye Create' which consists of 12 eyeshadows, four glitter dusts and a mascara. And guess what- All of these look books are all under £12.99! I was honestly expecting the price to be around £30 which is similar to Front Cover's pricing.

If you're a fan of GOSH, they're coming out with some brilliant new nail lacquer colours in pastel and jewel shades as well as crackle polishes. I've been flipping through the Autumn/Winter catalogue that we were given and I'm in LOVE with the jewel shades!

At the event, we also had the opportunity to have manicures, massages, and have our eyebrows done. And we all left with an amazing goody bag!

Keep an eye out for Superdrug this Xmas- I know I will!

Here are some pictures (Sorry, not good quality- primarily because my camera's gone bust, and so had to use my phone):

Pucker up with these fab new lip glosses

Lock N Hold lip glosses: Shades (from left to right): Rock Steady, Twisted Disco, Urban Punk, Break Dance.

Us girls all know how difficult it is to find lipsticks and lip glosses that stay on your lips for longer- that's why lip tint pens recently became a trend and replaced the lipsticks in our handbags...

But what about lip glosses? You're still going to want to add some shine to those lips. Well now you can with Collection 2000's new Lock N Hold lip glosses that can last on your lips for up to six hours.

These lip glosses come in six different shades and the scent of them are absolutely amazing! They smell very fruity; honestly, the amount of times I had to go into my make up box and whip these out just to smell them, will probably shock most of you.

The six different shades of the lip glosses include a lilac/pink (Twisted Disco), a light coral (Break Dance), a creamy pink (Rock Steady), a metallic mocha colour (Urban Punk), a pinky red (Beat Box), and a bright pink (Body Pop). The lip glosses add both colour and shine to your lips.

Another benefit from this lip gloss is that it doesn't feel heavy and sticky whilst wearing it. The lip gloss feels very light and gives off a very natural feel. Whereas, if you were wearing a very sticky lip gloss, your lips would probably feel quite tacky.

Another great thing I found about these lip glosses is that they have a sponge applicator that is very soft and makes lip gloss application much smoother. The sponge applicator also has a unique and efficient shape that's quite narrow, which provides you with much more precision and accuracy when applying the lip gloss.

The lip gloss lasted about 4 hours on my lips but that was until I ate. But honestly, these lip glosses cost £2.99 each. You're not gonna be digging your hands into your pockets for more money with such a great price for an excellent product. This lip gloss lasted much longer than my usual lip gloss.

I strongly recommend this product if you like colour and shine on your lips for longer without that sticky, heavy feel. The fruity scents and the price are just a bonus...

Collection 2000 products are available to purchase at Boots and Superdrug.

5 reasons to love Andrea Fulerton's nail products!

Since the Andrea Fulerton Nail Boutique began providing the UK with high quality nail products in late 2010, a drift came about that we needn't take a trip to our nearest nail salon for a manicure that made us cry every time we spent money on one that didn't last very long.
I love the products from the Andrea Fulerton Nail Boutique, and now I am going to give you 5 reasons why I love it, and why you should love it. 1. Andrea Fulerton products allows anyone to be creative (and have fun!) when giving yourself a manicure As well as having a huge range of coloured nail polishes, Andrea Fulerton Nail Boutique also has a variety of products to glam up those nails that will catch everybody's attention. You can add some cute little tattoos onto your nails and add a puff of glitter, or add silver strokes and a crystal gemstone- it's your choice. And what makes it even better is that you didn't leave a hole in your pocket so that you could get a great manicure which is fun at the same time. This leads to reason number 2... 2. Andrea Fulerton products lasts for ages! It's incredibly difficult to find nail products that last over 2 months without going all gooey and lumpy, but Andrea Fulerton nail polishes are the best option if you want to go for long lasting nail polish that's professional, efficient, and affordable at the same time. One thing in particular that I love about her products is that even after a few months of using the nail varnish, I can still actually open it without the lid and bottle being jammed together. 3. Andrea Fulerton provides the basics for a nail manicure As well as the amazing nail polish colours and nail design accessories, the Andrea Fulerton Nail Boutique range also includes basic products that are required for nail care. These products include Andrea's Cuticle Eraser Gel to reduce the appearance of cuticles, Mirror Shine Glossers to buff your nails, and the amazing Andrea Fulerton Oops! Nail Varnish Clean Up fluid (Just in case you make a mistake when painting your nails...) 4. The products are very easy to use Staring at a woman doing a french manicure with Andrea Fulerton's Flip Flop French nail varnish duo in 'Millie' on the train is an experience of mine that proves how easy it is to use Andrea Fulerton products. Andrea Fulerton's products includes instructions/tips on how to use them. The Flip Flop French (French manicure) products comes with guides for the tip of your nails so that you know where to paint. 5. The products are professional Andrea Fulerton is a professional nail technician who has worked with loads of celebs including Kylie Minogue and Lily Allen, and was labelled the 'British Nail Professional Of The Year' (2006/2007). She knows her stuff so you're in pretty good hands... Andrea Fulerton Nail Boutique products are available online at Superdrug and in stores across the UK. Now, in selected Superdrug Stores, you can have a manicure on the go at the Andrea Fulerton Nail Bars. You can drop in and get a manicure of your choice with Andrea Fulerton products and by nail technicians trained by Andrea Fulerton herself. I will be doing a review on some specific Andrea Fulerton Nail Boutique products soon. If you have any suggestions of which products I should review, let me know... xx
