Real Techniques Powder Bleu collection

These brushes aren't just beautiful, they're brilliantly efficient in terms of performance. Launched earlier this year, Powder Bleu is Real Techniques' collection of luxury brushes designed for use with powder products.

They're super, super soft which makes the application of make up a pleasure, and allows them to be so much easier to clean! It takes me almost half the time to clean the brushes from this collection, than any other brushes.

Christmas Gift Guide | Make Up Brushes

I've been obsessed with make up brushes for a while now, so I thought it'd be nice if I put together a little Christmas gift guide dedicated to them. Make up brushes make great gift ideas as there's no such thing as owning too many of them, and who wouldn't want to perfect their application techniques? Since I started using brushes, my make up skills have improved drastically. I currently own around 100 myself.

Here is a list of my fave gift ideas for Christmas, ranging in prices from £20 to £75. I know it's a bit late, but if you're like me and leave everything to the last minute- you might be able to get some inspiration.

Real Techniques Collector's Edition Deluxe Gift Set

I always get ridiculously excited when I spot a new Real Techniques launch- it's my favourite brush brand and Sam and Nic from Pixiwoo are so amazing and inspiring! Real Techniques brushes are cruelty-free and have always been very soft, affordable, and efficient. This month, Real Techniques fans will be able to get their hands on a super-cool Collector's Edition Deluxe Gift Set.

The gift set includes 5 brushes which includes 2 exclusive cuts, and are all the brushes you need to make-up a full face. Also thrown in is a sleek clutch to keep them in. It's a brilliant gift idea and I know I'll be purchasing these in bulk in the run-up to Christmas this year! I have four sisters haha!

Sunday

Real Techniques Duo Fiber Brush Collection

Real Techniques is my favourite brush brand and I own over 30 of their brushes- my current faves include the recently launched Sculpting Set (review here). The Duo Fiber Brush collection which was launched a couple of years ago has received mixed reviews so I was intrigued to give the brushes a try myself, and I'm pleased to report my positive experience.

Friday

NEW | Real Techniques Sculpting Set

I've met Sam and Nic (Pixiwoo) quite a few times before at press launches, and they are incredibly lovely, and I love having a chat with them! We've talked make-up, holidays, weight loss, and even the London Riots haha!

.I swear by their Real Techniques brushes and have owned the Core collection and the Eye Starter Kit for a long time. I have always found their brushes to be brilliantly efficient yet affordable. Now the girls are launching a new set called the 'Sculpting Set', which includes all the tools you need to accentuate facial features by contouring, highlighting, or enhancing natural bone structure. The set includes two existing Real Techniques brushes and a new exclusive one, all in a shiny pink colour as opposed to the matte finish of the brand's other brushes (except for Bold Metals).

On Wednesday, I attended Avon's Colour make-up launch at the Sanderson Hotel where its new products were on display for press and bloggers to have a little preview of. The new collection consists of a load of fab new products including beautiful new shades of Avon's Ultra Colour Lipsticks, a re-design of Avon's Eyeshadow Quad Palettes, as well as introducing Lip Crayons, and 8-in-1 Eyeshadow Palettes.

I was given a product-stuffed goody bag upon leaving, so I'll be very busy this weekend playing around and experimenting with the new collectionI'll defo be blogging about the products- especially the new Lip Crayons as I swatched a few of them on the back of my hand at the launch and they had such a burst of colour to them! Here are some of the photos of the launch:

Avon Arctic Goddess Make-up Launch!

I was invited to Avon's Arctic Goddess make-up launch on Thursday at the super fancy Penthouse Suite at the Mayfair Hotel, which had an amazing star line-up including Pixiwoo, Alesha Dixon, and celebrity manicurist Marian Newman.

Whilst sipping on champagne, we were introduced to Avon's upcoming Arctic Goddess collection which consists of three stunning new Nailwear Pro+ polishes (Arctic Waters, Chilling Teal, and Green Goddess) and a gorgeous Eyeshadow Quad palette called 'Arctic Goddess'.

The collection is made up with frosty colours of blues and greens in order to achieve the colourful, 'icy' look that's perfect for the Winter season. The 'Arctic Goddess' Eyeshadow Quad palette is amazingly pigmented, and Alesha was even sporting it at the launch!
