GOSH 9 Shades: To be cool in Copenhagen

GOSH recently unveiled its SS16 collection at the Metro hotel in London, and I loved every single piece of it. The new collection sings to the tune of natural/raw beauty, and consists of matte lipsticks, illuminating highlighting drops, lip oils, nude eyeshadow sticks, and of course- a sister palette of the 9 shades shadow collections: To Be Cool In Copenhagen. The concept of natural looking beauty really appeals to me, and I'm glad that GOSH has covered it.

GOSH 9 Shades Palette: To Play With In Vegas review

GOSH recently launched a collection of 9-shade eyeshadow palettes inspired by American cities; New York, Los Angeles, and Vegas. Like Vegas itself, the Vegas palette is full of bright colours that any girl would fall in love with.

The palette itself is super sleek and compact, with an incredibly clear mirror that's decent sized. It's a shame that the palette doesn't come with an eyeshadow brush, but I think this is because GOSH want you to use good professional brushes (that probably wouldn't fit in the palette) in order to get the best out of the eyeshadows.

GOSH Nail Lacquer in 'Night Sky' review

I usually hate black coloured nail varnish- I don't know why but I've always thought that it looks weird on my nails, but I'm warming up to GOSH's new 'Night Sky' Nail Lacquer from their AW14 collection.

The GOSH AW14 nail lacquer collection is full of monotone colours, which I think is quite interesting as GOSH are well known for their love of bright and bold colours. But I do think the collection will go down quite well.

'Night Sky' is a black coloured nail lacquer with subtle sparkles, offering a lovely shiny 'stardust' finish. It very much reminds me of GOSH's Holographic Hero Nail Lacquer that launched a few years ago.

I've always been a fan of GOSH Nail Lacquers. Personally, I find them to have a brilliant glide-on formula, and intense colour- two glowing factors that sometimes (from my experience) can't even be found in premium branded nail varnishes.

GOSH AW14 launch

Earlier tonight I made my way down to the Sanderson Hotel just off Oxford Street to attend the GOSH AW14 launch to check out some of the upcoming products for the Autumn/Winter seasons from Danish cosmetic brand, GOSH.

I'm a huge fan of GOSH, and have been for years now. None of their products have so far disappointed me, and the quality of them is similar to many premium branded beauty products.

GOSH really does set the bar high for high-street cosmetic brands, and the quality of GOSH products makes its prices seem very reasonable and affordable. And they are also very good at keeping up with the latest seasonal trends and are constantly bringing out more trendy and innovative products for us.

Here are some photos that I snapped at the launch. They have some very exciting stuff launching!

On Tuesday evening, I was invited down to The Hospital Club in Covent Garden to check out the upcoming launches from GOSH. I'm a big fan of GOSH products; the quality of them exceeds the expected standard of high-street cosmetic brands.

GOSH are launching an exciting range for this Spring, including some amazing Lip Lacquers, new lipstick shades, Forever Eye Shadow sticks, a 'Prime N Set' powder, and the most gorgeous coloured Frosted Nail Lacquers. The Frosted Nail Lacquers and the quality of the Eyeshadow sticks were very popular amongst the guests.

I met GOSH's ever-so-talented international make-up artist [for the fourth time!] and she did my make-up using GOSH's latest products, and I had a lovely manicure done.

I used the GOSH 'Prime N Set' powder on the day of my graduation this week and I was so impressed- my face stayed oil free all day which was brill and meant that I actually looked okay in photos!

Here are some photos I took from the event, and I will posting reviews of some of the products soon!

GOSH AW13 collection launch!

Last night I attended GOSH's AW13 launch at London's Sanderson Hotel to preview the brand's upcoming launches. GOSH is one of my favourite high-street brands so I had pretty high expectations, and I wasn't disappointed at all. The AW13 collection is complete with CC Creams in 6 shades, a stunning Nail Lacquer collection with a few lovely frosted shades, two mascaras, a selection of smokey-eye eyeliners, and some Velvet Touch Lip Liners.

GOSH 'Highschool Flirt' and 'Girls On Film' Nail Lacquers

'Highschool Flirt' is an elegant nude shade with a slight hint of pink to it. What I find with nude shades is that they sometimes require a few coats to build up the opacity of the colour, but this shade by GOSH in particular is so creamy in consistency that I literally only needed one coat to achieve the look below. I’ve always been a lover of GOSH’s Nail Lacquers and I’ve raved about them on this blog for a quite a long time.
I’m a total glitter gal so it's no surprise that I'm obsessed with GOSH's 'Girls On Film' shade- a stunning sparkly  pink shade with a multi-colour sheen to it. It's part of GOSH's SS13 collection and I love it. It can be worn on its own or on top of another colour; either way it looks amazing on your nails.

'Girls On Film' is not at all gloopy in consistency- I’ve used it quite a few times and it hasn’t glooped up at all, which is brilliant as a lot of glitter polishes I’ve used before have become useless before they’ve even finished and I always end up pumping the bottle with a few drops of nail polish remover to smooth out the consistency- which unfortunately doesn’t work all the time so I end up chucking them away.

What I love about the 'Girls on Film' shade- apart from the glitter :) - is the versatility of it; you can wear it on it's own or as an overcoat on another colour for a more glamorous look. One time I wore a sky blue nail polish during the day and before I went out in the evening, I applied a coat of 'Girls On Film' over my nails. It was just so effortless, particularly due to the GOSH Nail Lacquers' speedy drying time.

GOSH Nail Lacquers retail at £4.99 each, and are exclusive to Superdrug.

Monthly faves: September!

Here are my favourite beauty products for the month of September. Some products are newly launched, and some products have been available for a long time, but I've only recently got round to trying them or I've only just discovered its wonders! And some are simply re-favourites!

GOSH Prima Donna Nail Lacquer!

When I purchased this shade earlier this year, I only intended to wear it a few times as it matched the colour of one of my cardigans.

At first, I thought it was just a dull carrot shade that I would only wear with the cardigan, but it turned out to be a lot more than that and I love it!

Superdrug Christmas Press Show 2012!

I attended Superdrug's Christmas Press Day a few weeks ago to have a sneak peek at some of the upcoming Christmas beauty launches! This is a photo-heavy post so you can see most of the upcoming launches for yourself.

New launches consists of new Studio beauty, Salonworks hair styling gifts, Superdrug bath and shower sets, colour make-up sets by Colour Unlimited, and beauty gifts from brands including Accessorize and GOSH. It was also revealed that Superdrug have also teamed up with Bourjois to launch Beauty Bars (more info on that soon!)

NEW! GOSH Holographic Nail Lacquer!

I attended GOSH's AW12 preview event last month, and I was so happy to see that GOSH were re-releasing their infamous Holographic Nail Lacquer, which was a huge sell-out, but was then discontinued due to problems with chipping.

GOSH BB Cream!

GOSH have jumped on the BB Cream wagon and are introducing their very own range consisting of 5 shades!

BB stands for various names; Beauty Balms, Blemish Balms, Blemish Bases, but this doesn't really stand for BB Creams. In fact, BB Creams are actually tinted moisturisers but under a different branding strategy.

The difference between the two is that BB Creams have skin-care minerals and pigments in them so its better for your skin whilst wearing it- quite a few have SPFs in them. Despite this, you should still remove it before you go to bed as it is still make up and can cause the appearance of blemishes- the irony!

I've been using the shade 02 Beige:
02 Beige

What's different about GOSH's BB Cream?
- Firstly, it's available in 5 shades- the average shade 'scale' for BB Creams in the UK are light-medium-dark, some brands only do light-medium such as L'Oreal for its Nude Magique BB Cream. So 5 shades is a significant step forward in the beauty industry. Also, the availability of 5 shades allows you to choose a shade nearest to your skin tone and although a BB Cream is usually quite forgiving and adaptive in terms of its colour coverage, you can mix shades together to create a shade totally personalised for yourself!

- Doesn't dry out the skin like others currently on the market which made my skin feel rough and look flaky. GOSH's BB Cream moisturises the skin as well as gives a smooth finish as if you've actually applied a primer underneath!

- 3-in-1: The BB Cream is an All in One foundation, primer, and moisturiser. You can certainly tell this is true because it moisturises the skin lightly as well as giving off a smooth, matte finish.

- Excellent coverage that lasts all day, and a little definitely goes a long way!

- Smoother consistency: A little goes a long way as GOSH's BB Cream is more liquid based than others, especially those that are initially white but then adapt to the colour of your skin when applied which are thick in consistency.

GOSH Cosmetics AW12 Preview Event!

I was invited to a GOSH AW12 Preview event recently to have a sneak peek of the upcoming Autumn launch products in one of the fancy suites of St Martins Hotel, located near Trafalgar Square. As we were greeted with enthusiasm and warmth from the GOSHettes, I knew this event was going to be a good one. And I wasn't wrong.

In a sentence, GOSH are launching a BB Cream- one of the biggest beauty hypes of the year- in FIVE shades, as well as bringing back its famous Holographic Nail Lacquer, plus introducing two brand new mascaras- 'Boombastic' for volume, and 'Catchy Eyes' for length and definition.

Upon leaving, the GOSHettes kindly gave us a goody bag and popped in a couple of extra GOSH Lip-balms and an extra BB Cream, and I came home to find out that the goody bag in itself was already quite generous so keep an eye out for lots of GOSH reviews from me soon! Especially the BB Cream which is fab! :)

Here are some photos I took of the upcoming products and the event! Enjoy! Click the 'READ MORE' link below to see the rest of the images!

GOSH Smokey Eyes Palette

GOSH has recently launched a collection of smokey eye palettes in Superdrug, and I've really taken a liking to them.

I tried the palette in 03 Plum. I love the colours in this palette; it has a lilac shade, two lovely metallic gold/purple bronze shades, and a purple berry shade. These colours are really useful to creating a subtle smokey eye look, but the colour is easily build-able to create a more dramatic look, but subtle looks are perfect for the summer season!
The palettes are also available in Black and Brown, but I hope that GOSH launches some more colours in the near future.

The palettes retail at £7.99 each, which I think is good value- considering that you get four eyeshadows in  one palette, which is much better and economically friendly than when you would probably purchase four seperate eyeshadows to create a smokey eye look.

The actual product is of quite slim build, making it more easy to slip into your handbag without feeling like your carrying a heavy-load. I think the palette has a sleek, elegant look to it- the case is black, and it has a clear window where you can see the colours in the palette. To be honest, the product looks like a premium-branded product, and not really a high-street product- which, to be fair, I can't complain about...

There is also a numbered guide, clearly telling you where to apply each colour onto your eyelids in order to create the perfect smokey eye look.

However, it's a shame that an applicator or a small brush wasn't included, as this is something that appeals to me personally as I always lose my applicators and always have trouble finding one if its not included in a palette!

Easter Inspired Nail Art!

I was experimenting with a few nail polishes the other day and it struck me that Easter is fast-approaching, so I did some Easter inspired nail-art. I painted a little easter chick on a sunny day!
Here's what I did:

1. I applied a base-coat using Andrea Fulerton's Triple Action Undercoat.

2. I then painted a layer of GOSH'S Nail Lacquer in Lavender Love, and waited for it to dry. (The actual colour is a lot lighter in the image above though!)

3. Then I carefully painted a 'hill' using GOSH's Nail Lacquer in Early Green.

4. When the 'hill' was dry, I dipped the tip of a pencil in GOSH's Nail Lacquer in Bright Idea and painted dots on the 'hill' to resemble daisies, and I waited for them to dry.

5. I used Andrea Fulerton's Nail Colour in Daisy to paint the chick; I painted a small blob and when it dried, I used Andrea Fulerton's Nail Art Pen in Pink to draw the chick's eyes, feet, and smile.

6. Finally, I sealed my creation with Andrea Fulerton's Gloss Up Overcoat!

Here are the products I used: (Except for the Andrea Fulerton Nail Art Pen in Pink)

Bags of Beauty Blog: GOSH Nail Lacquer in Miss Minty!

The Spring season says hello to pastels and neons, and this nail lacquer is a perfect colour to go with the flow!

The shade is a light pastel blue and green colour- some may say blue, and some may think the colour is green! Although it's a pastel shade, it's quite neon in its own little way as its quite a bright colour.

The colour reminds me of mint ice-cream- most pastel colours actually remind me of ice-cream for some reason... It also reminds me of the Dune heels that Tulisa wore in a press image (below), which I'm in love with!

This colour is also definitely a shade that will suit both dark and pale tones!

Most girls tend to wear a light pink or purple colour when it comes to pastels, but I prefer this blue/green pastel colour a lot more because it looks somewhat original.

The nail lacquer gives a glossy finish, and I didn't even need to use a top-coat.

What do you think of this colour? Have you been sporting the 'Pastels' trend?

Bags of Beauty Blog: GOSH Nail Lacquer in Wild Lilac!

Susmi Patel
GOSH Nail Lacquers are among my fave nail polish brands- the brushes are good, the polish dries quickly, and it has pretty good staying power.

I've had this colour for quite a while but only thought to wear it as I was wearing purple eyeliner at the time. The shade is a lovely purple that's not too dark, and not too light. If you want to play your part in this season's pastel colours trend, but wish to go for a more bolder colour, this shade is defo for you! It's similar to the colours 'Emma' from the Andrea Fulerton Nail Boutique, and 'Do You Lilac It?' by O.P.I.
In front of one of my Katy Perry posters- a signature landmark for taking pictures of my nails!
GOSH Nail Lacquers retail at £5.00 each, which is slightly more expensive than other brands such as Rimmel and Barry M (who typically charge around £2.99 for an 8ml nail polish). But in my honest opinion, GOSH is a much better nail polish for keeps as I find that when I haven't used my Rimmel nail polish in a while, it tends to dry up and become rather sluggish and I have to keep pumping drops of nail varnish remover into it to smooth out the consistency if the fridge doesn't do any wonders.

GOSH Nail Lacquers, thankfully doesn't do this! I have a couple of GOSH Nail Lacquers which I haven't used in over a year, and they're still as good as new!

By the way, if you're a fan of crackle nail polish but get annoyed with the outcome on your nails, defo have a go with the GOSH crackle polishes- they're the best I've used!

It's such a shame that only a few of the GOSH shades are available on the Superdrug website, and they only have selected shades in-store :(

Do you like GOSH Nail Lacquers? Do you like this shade I'm wearing?

GOSH A/W 2011 Nail Lacquer Collection!

(From left to right above: Dusty Rose, Blue Balloon, Early Green, and Crispy Coral)
A light chocolate brown, a Cobalt blue, a Pistachio green, and a sexy Coral red, are the colours of GOSH's Autumn/Winter Collection nail lacquers for 2011- and they're FAB!

The collection is a mixture of bright colours, nudes, and pastel shades which is a great combination if you're a fan of sporting multi-coloured nails or always changing your mind about the colour of your nails.

The Dusty Rose shade (a light chocolate brown) is brilliant for proms, weddings, and evenings in, and the Blue Balloon (a Cobalt Blue) and the Early Green shades (a pistachio green) are perfect for days out, whilst the Crispy Coral shade (a sexy coral red) will work its magic on a date, nights out, or a catch-up session with the girls!

Not only are these shades amazing, but the nail lacquer itself is absolutely brilliant! The lacquer provides flawless coverage on your nails with an efficient brush that makes the lacquer quick and easy to apply! Another brill benefit that you get from GOSH's nail lacquers is that they just don't chip and last for ages!

The nail lacquers retail at £4.99 each, and can be purchased at Superdrug.

Magazine feature: Crackle Nail Polish!

Hey guys, I wanted to try something a little different and felt incredibly creative so here's a little magazine feature I created about one of the latest trends in the beauty industry- crackle polishes!

Bags of Beauty Blog: Superdrug Christmas Press Day!

The month of July is always filled with loads of Christmas press days, and the lovely Z-PR girls hosted a fantastic event for Superdrug in Grape Street last week!

Everyone was shown the Xmas gifts that are going to be in Superdrug Stores from October, and I was amazed by the products. Make sure you all check out the new fragrances exclusive to Superdrug- they're affordable, yet smell so expensive and yummy!

Superdrug also have an exclusive and exciting brand called Studio London making its debut in stores from October. The concept of Studio London's products in similar to Front Cover's- you are given instructions on how to create a particular look. My favourite was the 'Eye Create' which consists of 12 eyeshadows, four glitter dusts and a mascara. And guess what- All of these look books are all under £12.99! I was honestly expecting the price to be around £30 which is similar to Front Cover's pricing.

If you're a fan of GOSH, they're coming out with some brilliant new nail lacquer colours in pastel and jewel shades as well as crackle polishes. I've been flipping through the Autumn/Winter catalogue that we were given and I'm in LOVE with the jewel shades!

At the event, we also had the opportunity to have manicures, massages, and have our eyebrows done. And we all left with an amazing goody bag!

Keep an eye out for Superdrug this Xmas- I know I will!

Here are some pictures (Sorry, not good quality- primarily because my camera's gone bust, and so had to use my phone):
