Bags of Beauty Blog: Collection 2000 Lip Cream Puffs in Cotton Candy

I've already posted about the Collection 2000 Lip Cream Puffs, but I've recently tried another shade of it, and I love it!

This colour is called Cotton Candy- a soft pink shade that looks a lot more vibrant when swatched than the colour of the packaging- which probably makes sense!

I'm a huge fan of these Lip Cream Puffs because they're so lovely and smooth in texture, and they really moisturise your lips. The product gives a matte finish- which makes lips look a lot more defined. But I've added lip-gloss over this a couple of times for a glossy finish.

The colour also lasts for ages! Even after you have a drink, most of the colour will still be there.

Also, these only retail for £2.99- which explains why there isn't much product in the actual tube... I'd still recommend it though.
What do you think of these?

Bags of Beauty Blog: Collection 2000 Lip Cream Puffs!

I was in Boots the other day browsing for a couple of beauty bargains (I always do this when I have some change after I go shopping!), and I had a look at the Collection 2000 stand where I saw some Lip Cream Puffs, and I brought one of them in the shade 'Fairy Cake'- a lovely warm coral shade.

The first ever make-up brand I became actually obsessed with was Collection 2000 when I was 15, and I've loved their products ever since! Collection 2000's Lip Cream Puff retail at £2.99- which I thought was such a good deal considering its benefits! And believe me, I didn't think the product would have so many.

  Product benefits:
- Easy, smooth application  - Lovely matte finish  - Gorgeous Vanilla scent
- Non-sticky formula   - Moisturises lips  - You can choose whether you want the colour of your lips to be  pigmented or subtle as coverage is buildable and you can rub the cream into your lips for a more subtle looks.

Another thing I loved about this product is that it really defines your edges of your lips making them look more shapely. Also, I thought lip-stains were good, but these are sooo much better than lip-stains as I find lip-stains to be a little difficult as it can stain over the lip-line, and it doesn't really provide a proper matte finish like these lip-creams.

Here's a swatch on the back of my hand (With flash- so sorry about the dodgy shadows!):
CHEEKY TIP: I also found that this product can also be used as a cheeky blush! It's not sticky and it blends so easily into your cheeks. Such random advice but you gotta admit- it's really cool!

Have you tried these Lip Cream Puffs? What do you think?

Interview with Diana Vickers!

Hi Diana! You’re the new face of Collection 2000! How does it feel?
It feels amazing! I love the brand and felt honoured to be ask to be part of the campaign. I grew up wearing Collection 2000 and have always loved the products.

Describe your daily beauty regime.
During the day I prefer a more natural, fresh makeup look and wear a light foundation like Collection 2000's Colour Match Foundation (£5.99). I also like to keep my eyes defined and so wear a slick of mascara with a hint of eyeliner.  The new Collection 20000 Intense Colour Supersoft Kohl Liners are great for achieving this look (£1.99). To add a bit of colour I add some bronzer for a nice glow and a vibrant lip shade like Collection 2000 Lasting Colour Lipstick in Mango Tango (£3.49) to brighten up the look.

Which is your favourite Collection 2000 product?
I love drawing attention to my eyes and having a great mascara is essential for this! The Collection 2000 Pump Up the Volume Mascara (£4.99) is amazing for giving you big, luscious lashes. I couldn’t live without it!

How old were you when you started wearing make-up?
13

What’s currently in your make-up bag?
Aside from my Collection 2000 faves, I’m also a big fan of Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser, Bumble & Bumble thickening spray and Chanel Bronzer.

Do you have a beauty tip that you’d like to share with us?
I always always remember to take my make-up off before going to bed to keep my skin looking healthy and youthful.

Have you ever suffered a beauty disaster? If so, what happened?
I’ve experimented with fake tan in the past and ended up looking really tangoed – so never again!

Who is your beauty idol?
I really admired Kate Moss when I was growing up because she always looks chic and cool, and doesn't really put a foot wrong. I also think that Blake Lively is absolutely beautiful.

If you were to pick only one colour/trend nail varnish to wear for the rest of your life, which colour would you go for?
At the moment I’m a massive fan of the Collection 2000 Lasting Colour Nail Polish in ‘Geranium’ (£2.79) as it spruces up your look and is such a vibrant colour! Plus it’s really affordable.

What kind of fragrances/perfumes do you go for? Do you have a particular favourite?
Tom Ford is my ultimate fragrance!

Should your fans be expecting anything exciting from you in terms of music anytime soon?
Yes definitely! I am currently working away on my second album. It’s coming along really well and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it in the New Year!

What advice would you give to those wanting to get into the music industry?
You have to be passionate about what you do, work hard and be confident in yourself.

Pucker up with these fab new lip glosses

Lock N Hold lip glosses: Shades (from left to right): Rock Steady, Twisted Disco, Urban Punk, Break Dance.

Us girls all know how difficult it is to find lipsticks and lip glosses that stay on your lips for longer- that's why lip tint pens recently became a trend and replaced the lipsticks in our handbags...

But what about lip glosses? You're still going to want to add some shine to those lips. Well now you can with Collection 2000's new Lock N Hold lip glosses that can last on your lips for up to six hours.

These lip glosses come in six different shades and the scent of them are absolutely amazing! They smell very fruity; honestly, the amount of times I had to go into my make up box and whip these out just to smell them, will probably shock most of you.

The six different shades of the lip glosses include a lilac/pink (Twisted Disco), a light coral (Break Dance), a creamy pink (Rock Steady), a metallic mocha colour (Urban Punk), a pinky red (Beat Box), and a bright pink (Body Pop). The lip glosses add both colour and shine to your lips.

Another benefit from this lip gloss is that it doesn't feel heavy and sticky whilst wearing it. The lip gloss feels very light and gives off a very natural feel. Whereas, if you were wearing a very sticky lip gloss, your lips would probably feel quite tacky.

Another great thing I found about these lip glosses is that they have a sponge applicator that is very soft and makes lip gloss application much smoother. The sponge applicator also has a unique and efficient shape that's quite narrow, which provides you with much more precision and accuracy when applying the lip gloss.

The lip gloss lasted about 4 hours on my lips but that was until I ate. But honestly, these lip glosses cost £2.99 each. You're not gonna be digging your hands into your pockets for more money with such a great price for an excellent product. This lip gloss lasted much longer than my usual lip gloss.

I strongly recommend this product if you like colour and shine on your lips for longer without that sticky, heavy feel. The fruity scents and the price are just a bonus...
