Ghost Christmas: Sweetheart and Eclipse

What I love about Ghost is that their fragrances are great for everyone- from teenagers to Mothers. I remember when my Mum and I used to share the same Ghost perfume when I was 14 (I think it was Deep Night).

Ghost Sweetheart gift set - £27

Ghost Sweetheart was launched in 2008 and is a floral oriental scent that's sweet and fresh. It's such a gorgeous fragrance as it's gentle and vanilla-ry. Let's take a look at the notes:

Top notes: Spearmint, Lemon, Pineapple
Heart notes: Rose, Jasmine
Base notes: Sandalwood, Tonka Bean, Vanilla, Patchouli

Festive Favourites | Barry M Christmas Nail Paints

Believe it or not, Barry M is the king of colour cosmetics and they're Nail Paints never fail to amaze me. They recently launched a few more shades of their Silk Nail Paints for AW14 as well as a Christmas top coat, and they're so festive and party-appropriate. I picked up three shades- the Christmas Tree top coat, and Silk Nail Paints in Poppy and Forest.

The formulas offer smooth matte finish and dry incredibly quickly- I was surprised that by the time I finished painting my pinky finger, my thumbnail (which I painted first) was already completely dry! They're very impressive, especially considering that these only cost £3.99 each. Also, Superdrug have a deal on at the moment: if you spend £6 or over, you get a limited edition Christmas top coat free.

SAS & Company Press Day

Earlier today, I popped down to Bittersweet in Soho for SAS & Company's press day where I checked out the fragrances by Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Jay Z, Dennis Basso, and Alford and Hoff, as well as some of the fragrance's upcoming gift items for Christmas. Here are some photographs I took at the event:

Bags of Beauty Blog: Bits and Bobs from the Chanel 2011 Christmas Collection!

We're in love with the Chanel Christmas Collection, so we thought we'd share our faves from the collection:

Chanel Lipstick in Famous
You can never go wrong with sporting a red lipstick at Christmas!

Chanel's Christmas collection lipstick in Famous is a red, shimmery colour that's not too bright and not too deep- perfect for those glam Christmas events!

The lipstick is quite pigmented, but that may terrify some of you girls who have the 'Red Lipstick Phobia'. Never fear though, this lipstick has some sort of pinky/coral shimmery hue to it, that makes it look beautiful and not so full on as other red lipsticks!

Chanel Lip-Gloss
Super glossy and shimmery, this lip-gloss is a defo must for Christmas and NYE parties if you're one of those girls who love a little glamour, however expressed with subtlety and not too full-on.

This lip-gloss is a light ballet pink colour that is really smooth, making it easy to apply and glide onto your lips.

On the other hand, if you do love full-on and bursts of colour, you can apply the lip-gloss over the lipstick from the Christmas collection for a glossy, shimmery finish, that will also make your lipstick last longer and crown you the Queen of Christmas Glamour!

Chanel Duo Eyeshadows
These eye-shadows are so gorgeous that we fell in love with them immediately! They have the best features- they're super pigmented, lovely colours, and they're shimmery and last quite a long time too.

The vanilla colour can be used as a sheer base for a smoky eyed look, or even on its own for a natural look, and the shimmery black colour can be applied 'winged out' along with the vanilla coloured base. Smoky eyes are a huge trend this winter!

You also receive an applicator and a brush so you can create whatever style you want. The product also comes in a cute little pouch with the Chanel logo on it!

Have you brought a few bits from Chanel's 2011 Christmas collection? What are your favourite products?

Bags of Beauty Blog: No 7 Midnight Enchantment Christmas Collection!

The No7 Midnight Enchantment Christmas Collection is so awesome! The products are bang on trend for smokey eyes, Christmassy purples, and blushed cheeks for Christmas and NYE parties!

The collection is really really pretty with some fab products! But here are some of our faves:

From left to right:

No7 Midnight Enchantment Lipstick- Winter Berry: A gorgeous, shimmery purple/plum lipstick which you're definitely going to fall in love with! The lipstick is very smooth and glides onto your lips quite easily. It's not as pigmented as you might expect however, but for me that's a good thing because a deeply pigmented lipstick colour would take all the shimmer away as a lipstick needs to be balanced :( The lipstick  looks incredibly glossy when applied too!

RRP: £10.00

No7 Midnight Enchantment Eye Palette: This eye palette comes with 4 eyeshadows in the colours: Lilac, Indigo Violet, Silver, and a dark grey. The colours are shimmery and will create the perfect NYE party look as purple is a real party colour!

RRP: £13.00

No7 Midnight Enchantment Eyeshadow Stick: These are available in Grey and Purple and they're super creamy and glide onto your skin very easily and are really glittery and pigmented in colour. You can also use these as eyeliners as the shadow stick allows you to have full control over your makeup application.

RRP: £10.50

No7 Midnight Enchantment Blusher: This blusher is the best bit out of the entire collection! In the palette is a pink rose blusher, and a purple/brown blusher. It's ridiculously smooth in texture and like the other products, it's shimmery too! I like to use the white bit/blush as a highlighter because it's so shimmery.

RRP: £13.00

Have you tried these products? What do you think of them?

No7 products can be purchased at Boots.

Studio London Mascara Wardrobe!

Get beautiful lashes this Christmas with Studio London's Mascara Wardrobe exclusively available at Superdrug!

Studio London is a limited edition range this Christmas with a wide range of products, including Smokey Eye Eyeshadow sets, bronzing sets, and nail lacquer sets. The products are in the form of look-books, with tips, tricks, and instructions on how to use the products as well as how to create particular styles step-by-step.

The Studio London Mascara Wardrobe includes a variety of mascaras- volumising, lengthening, and curling; a lash and eye gel, and an eyelash curler.

You can't go wrong in the style you're aiming for as the instructions in the look-books are really helpful and precise.

The mascaras have good brushes and they're not at all clumpy. Our fave mascara is the lengthening! And the eyelash curler is amazing!  It makes you realise that you've struck a true bargain as this product is priced at only £9.99 and all Christmas gifts at Superdrug are on offer for 3 for 2!

Plus, some people find eyelash curlers quite scary and daunting but the curler available in the Mascara Wardrobe is really easy to use as they're easy to grip and you don't need to curl them for too long.

What do you think of it? Have you tried this? Pop your comments below!

OPI The Muppets Collection- Christmas 2011

Yes! O.P.I have come up with loads more shades once again- they never fail to impress with their humongous selection of coloured lacquers!

Christmas is nothing without shimmer and glitter, and O.P.I knows this. Here at Bags of Beauty, we're in LOVE with the glitter lacquers from this collection, and you're bound to fall in love too if you already haven't!

The glitter lacquers are quite sheer, but build-able. We really recommend that you apply a similar colour of the glitter lacquer you intend to use underneath as it will intensify the colour of your nails. The glitter  in the lacquer are no doubt of getting noticed as there is quite a lot of it, and there are lots of silver confetti-style pieces too so these are a definite must-have for glam nights out and parties...

If you're off to any Christmas parties and have no idea of what to colour your nails with, definitely have a go with the red glittery nail lacquer as shown in the image below (the one right on the end of the second row). This shade is called "Gettin' Miss Piggy With It"- again another fun name that matches a fun colour that'll definitely get you into the delightful Christmas spirit!

Swatches coming soon!

Nina Ricci Fragrance: Snow Princess

Fans of Nina Ricci please step forward! There is a limited edition Christmas Nina Ricci fragrance called 'Snow Princess'!

Purchase the limited edition fragrance bottle for someone you really care about this Christmas, or it can even make a festive little treat for yourself!

The fragrance is the same as the original Nina Ricci perfume, but the festive bottle and packaging looks amazing! It's still in the shape of an apple, but with a Christmas twist that everyone will love and will make you feel like Snow White on a snowy day! The bottle is pearl white, while the leaves of the apple are metallic gold.

Nina Ricci is a floral fragrance with a hint of fruitiness and is sure to release a fairy-tale in your life. As soon as the fragrance is sprayed, you get a burst of citrus which then settles into a lovely warm combination scent consisting of Red Toffee Apple, Praline, and Vanilla.

The fragrance is a representation of charm, femininity, and temptation.

If you're totally in love with this, hurry! It's only limited edition and is flying off the shelves already in London!

Have you tried this fragrance out? Do you like the Snow Princess limited edition packaging?

The fragrance retails at £52 for an 80ml bottle, and can be purchased at John Lewis.
