Real Techniques Powder Bleu collection

These brushes aren't just beautiful, they're brilliantly efficient in terms of performance. Launched earlier this year, Powder Bleu is Real Techniques' collection of luxury brushes designed for use with powder products.

They're super, super soft which makes the application of make up a pleasure, and allows them to be so much easier to clean! It takes me almost half the time to clean the brushes from this collection, than any other brushes.

I have quite oily skin, so I tend to use more powder-based products as opposed to creams/liquids. This is why these brushes are perfect for me, and they're my favourite Real Techniques collection to date. The brushes are also great for applying powder-based products over already applied make up, without disrupting it- always a bonus.

Here's the lowdown on the brushes I have (there is also a Soft Shadow Brush- £15- and a Plush Powder Puff- £12- in the collection):

Soft Powder Brush - £22
I use this brush to apply blush and the tapered head of this brush makes sure it does this effectively. It can also be used for bronzers/highlighters but I like to be quite liberal in applying my bronzer so I prefer using the Kabuki brush (below)
Soft Complexion Brush - £22
I don't wear foundation, but I do wear concealer to cover up a few blemishes here and there. The Soft Complexion Brush allows me to gently blend the concealer onto the skin without it looking caked.

Soft Finishing Brush - £22
I love highlighting my cheekbones and that's what I use this brush for. I've tested this for both cream and powder highlighters and it works well with either. I'm always guilty of not blending my highlighter properly, but the Soft Finishing Brush makes it so much easier.

Soft Kabuki Brush £25
My favourite brush of the collection (it's also the most expensive), the Kabuki Brush allows me to gently swipe my bronzer onto my cheeks. Like all the other brushes in the Powder Bleu collection, it's super soft and applies just the right amount of product so I never have to worry about overdoing it.

Real Techniques' Powder Bleu collection is available to purchase from Boots.

  1. I haven't even heard of these brushes, but I've been so rubbish at keeping up with beauty or beauty related launches. Very good of them to dedicate a line to powder products though - the brushes are gorgeous!
