Elie Saab fragrance

I was a big fan of Elie Saab's Rose Couture fragrance that launched earlier this year, so I was excited to find out whether the original fragrance (launched in 2011) is just as lovely. And it did not disappoint at all!

Encapsulated in a gorgeous multi-faceted, crystal-like bottle, Elie Saab is a warm fragrance that's soft and feminine that's quite mature in the sense that it's luxurious.

Top Notes: Orange Blossom
Heart Notes: Jasmine Absolute, Patchouli
Base Notes: Virginia Cedar, Rose, White Honey

The opening is slightly strong but clean, and this quickly settles into a warm heart of Jasmine and Patchouli when it becomes sweeter and rich; to me, the Orange Blossom didn't stay around for long. Jasmine and Patchouli are a match made in heaven and this fragrance definitely proves it- the heart is where the fragrance reaches its peak with regard to femininity and luxury.

What makes the fragrance even more beautiful is the elegant scent of Rose and White Honey (the base) that is left lingering on the skin. This fragrance actually reminds me of Middle Eastern inspired scents (which I'm currently obsessed with),

If you know someone who loves her warm florals, this makes the perfect Christmas gift for them. I'm actually getting a bottle as a present for my Mum. Although it's not an overpowering floral, you probably will get a headache if you spray too much of this one, so be sure to not spray too much!
The Elie Saab fragrance is priced at £58 for 50ml, and is available to purchase at The Perfume Shop, Boots, and department stores.

  1. The notes of this perfume looks so amazing and according to Fragrantica the rating also good. I think I will collect this perfume and add this perfume in my fragrance shelf. Thanks for sharing this review.
