Lacoste Pour Elle Elegant

A few months ago, Lacoste launched a trio collection of fragrances: Pour Elle Natural, Pour Elle Elegant, and Pour Elegant Sparkling. Here, I review the Elegant.

Pour Elle Elegant is a fresh floral fragrance with musky tones and makes a fantastic day perfume as it's subtle and not overpowering. Lacoste are great for their fresh, light fragrances, and they haven't disappointed with this one.

The fragrance opens up with top notes of citrus oils, cassis bud and pink pepper. The opening is not boozy at all and is very refreshing. This then develops into a heart which consists of violet and mimosa, and then finally settles vetiver as the base. To include a vetiver note in a women's fragrance is very interesting indeed, but it works to create a warm, deep fragrance.

Despite the inclusion of cassis and mimosa, I can't really detect it in the scent, and Pour Elle is more a floral fragrance than it is fruity. But that doesn't really matter as it's still lovely. Also, it's a little powdery as the base starts to develop but this soon goes away and settles into a nice, clean musky scent.

In terms of the design, I love the simple packaging and bottle for the fragrance, and of course- the famous Lacoste fabric croc is present. Also, the bottles are quite small and incredibly sleek, and can easily be slipped into the pocket of your handbag.

Lacoste Pour Elle Elegant is priced at £29.99 for 30ml, £39.99 for 50ml,  £55 for 90ml, and can be purchased nationwide.
