Real Techniques Collector's Edition Deluxe Gift Set

I always get ridiculously excited when I spot a new Real Techniques launch- it's my favourite brush brand and Sam and Nic from Pixiwoo are so amazing and inspiring! Real Techniques brushes are cruelty-free and have always been very soft, affordable, and efficient. This month, Real Techniques fans will be able to get their hands on a super-cool Collector's Edition Deluxe Gift Set.

The gift set includes 5 brushes which includes 2 exclusive cuts, and are all the brushes you need to make-up a full face. Also thrown in is a sleek clutch to keep them in. It's a brilliant gift idea and I know I'll be purchasing these in bulk in the run-up to Christmas this year! I have four sisters haha!

The brushes are of a shiny, metallic finish instead of the classic matte, and are colour coded according to the rest of the Real Techniques line- i.e. purple for eyes, pink for finishing. The metallic finish makes the brushes so beautiful and very photogenic. Here are the brushes included in the set:

Multi Task Brush
First up is the Multi Task Brush that can be used for almost anything, including the application of  powder, blush, and bronzer. I used it this morning to apply a finishing powder over my make up and it picks up the right amount of product and is soft enough to apply the powder evenly across the face so as to not ruin my hard work!

Tapered Foundation Brush (Exclusive!)
The Tapered Foundation Brush is ideal for achieving that perfect complexion. The tapered head allows you a better coverage of foundation by reaching the difficult areas such as the sides of the nose, and around the mouth.

Angled Highlighter Brush (Exclusive!)
As a fan of the Sculpting Set (click for review), this brush was pretty exciting for me. Everyone is highlighting and contouring now, and the Angled Highlighter Brush is perfect for adding a glow to your cheek bones and for contouring the nose. Up until now, I was using the Deluxe Crease Shadow Brush from the Eye Starter Set to contour my nose, but this seriously does the job better.

Base Shadow Brush
I already had one of these from the Eye Starter Set, and have been using it almost every day with my Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Eyeshadows for years. I love how soft it feels on my sensitive eyes and it's just so reliable as I've previously purchased high-street brushes that are soft at first, but then become scratchy and irritable after a few weeks. The Base Shadow Brush also provides optimum pick-up for both powder and cream eyeshadows.

Fine Liner Brush
The Fine Liner Brush is also available in the Eye Starter Set like the Base Shadow Brush, and is the reason why I throw any brush away that comes with an eyeliner. The Fine Liner Brush can be used to apply liquid or cream eyeliner and is fine enough to create even the most sleek and feline flicks. I'm a big fan of eyeliner so this brush is a huge yes for me, and I also use it to define my brows step-by-step as I'm quite clumsy and tend to accidentally over-do my brows!

Clutch (Exclusive)
This is a really good idea as not only is it efficient and handy, but it's so pretty. Although I love Real Technique's Core and Eye Starter Sets, I rarely take the included case/pouch out with me, but this clutch is so pretty that it's always going to be in my handbag when I'm out and about! Currently, Boots has the exclusivity of a White Clutch in the set, and Superdrug is rolling out an exclusive Silver Clutch in October.

The Gift Set has already sold out online at Boots but I've spotted a few in-store but I'd advise you to hurry if you want your hands on one! It took a good few weeks for Superdrug to be in regular stock of the popular Sculpting Set back in March.

The Real Techniques Collector's Edition Deluxe Gift Set is currently available at Boots with a white clutch, and will be available in Superdrug in October with a silver clutch. It's priced at £29.99.
