Real Techniques Duo Fiber Brush Collection

Real Techniques is my favourite brush brand and I own over 30 of their brushes- my current faves include the recently launched Sculpting Set (review here). The Duo Fiber Brush collection which was launched a couple of years ago has received mixed reviews so I was intrigued to give the brushes a try myself, and I'm pleased to report my positive experience.

The set consists of three different brushes; the Duo Fiber Face Brush, Duo Fiber Contour Brush, and Eye Brush. I love the sleek white design of the brush handles too! The science behind the Duo Fiber bristles allows lightweight application, and a pixel-perfect finish. Plus, they are a lot softer to the touch compared to the core RT range.

Duo Fiber Face Brush
If you prefer subtle and natural make up looks, this set might just be the one for you. I for one, detest wearing foundation and hardly ever do but when my skin looks a little dull, I do apply a mineral powder and the Duo Fiber Face Brush was excellent in applying it softly and evenly onto the skin. This brush is also great for applying a light bronzer and can also be used to apply liquid and cream products.
Duo Fiber Contour Brush
I currently use the Contour brush from the new RT Sculpting Kit which is amazing, and unfortunately I don't think the Duo Fiber Contour Brush worked as well to create a contour line. So I use the Duo Fiber Contour Brush to highlight my cheek bones. It picks up the right amount of product so it's easy not to over-highlight.

Duo Fiber Eye Brush
This brush works really well at applying concealer around the eyes as it allows light application. Also, I found that the brush works better at blending eyeshadow rather than applying it, which is of course- a good thing.

The Duo Fiber collection is priced at £23.99 and can be purchased from Boots and Superdrug.
