Festive Favourites | Bourjois Smoky Stories Eyeshadow Palettes

I've been loving these Smoky Stories (great name!) trio eyeshadow palettes that Bourjois recently launched. Bourjois is a great brand that embodies the idea that make-up can make women feel special as well as look it, and their Magic Nail Polish Remover has been a must-have for me for over two years!

Here I have two of the colour themed palettes, and I love the quirky names to them (Left: Night and Grey. Right: Over Rose). The packaging and sleek and compact so they can be carried around with you throughout the day.

.
The palettes each consist of three eyeshadow shades that compliment each other when creating a smoky eye look, as well as a 'Light Touch' powder (in the middle) which is in the form of a fine glitter powder which looks stunning and adds a nice Christmassy touch to your look. In fact, it's my favourite aspect of the palettes- the glitter powder adds a lovely finishing sparkly touch to your smoky eye and even looks great when worn on its own with a flick of eyeliner and mascara.

The consistency of the three shades are decent- the coverage is light at initial application but the smooth, creamy texture of the eyeshadows allow you to easily build up a a strong coverage is that's what you're after.

Here are some swatches of the palettes!

Plus- if you spend £15 or more on Bourjois products at Boots, you get a FREE Bourjois Christmas box filled with full-sized favourites from Bourjois! I grabbed the last 'unopened' one in my local Boots store last week- the other two there were ripped open with products missing. It's awful how certain people are so inconsiderate towards others and literally have no value for anything. Bourjois are offering us a lovely GWP and to treat the brand and its fans like that is terrible.

  3. I love the colors but I don't always put on eye shadow right. I can't get the colors to look nice when I put on 3 colors.
