Lacoste L!VE fragrance review!

Lacoste recently launched a new summer fragrance for men 'L!VE', and with Father's Day just around the corner, it makes the perfect gift!

Lacoste L!VE is a fresh fragrance with top notes of lime and saffron; with notes of green leaves forming the heart; and liquorice, sandalwood, and Guaiac Wood as the base. Male fragrances are becoming more fresh and less strong/spicy, and Lacoste has certainly paid attention to this fact.

L!VE is a very energetic and dynamic scent and although it's a fresh aquatic fragrance, its deep layers offer a sense of individuality to the wearer. The sharp top notes of lime really come through at the start of the fragrance journey, awakening the senses immediately; and the base notes of liquorice and Guaiac Wood add warmth to the fragrance. I think this type of layering is what most may find attractive and uplifting.

The design of the bottle is very edgy and cool; it's in the form of a deep blue coloured cube with white and red panels on the sides, and of course- no Lacoste fragrance can be without the Lacoste crocodile. It's a bottle designed with innovation, and will no doubt be popular amongst young guys and sporty fans of Lacoste.

"The new LACOSTE L!VE fragrance is a whole new chapter for Lacoste fragrances. The unique design, concept and holistic campaign appeal to a more urban consumer seeking authenticity and creativity. That's why creativity is at the heart of the new LACOSTE L!VE fragrance; from the way LACOSTE and P&G Prestige have developed in a close collaboration the flacon, the juice and the innovative global campaign." - Antoine Delgrange, Global Marketing Director P&G Prestige.

The edgy personality of the bottle is highlighted by the Lacoste L!VE advert that you may have already seen on TV. It's very postmodern and enjoyable to watch. It's been incredibly popular so far.

Lacoste L!VE retails at £29 for 40ml and £47 for 100ml, and can be purchased from The Perfume Shop.
